LLUM Virtual aims to help these clients become more profitable and improve their services by providing a tool that offers savings to more people. The platform is designed to automate energy transactions and can facilitate services like assigning electricity to disadvantaged groups and paying for electric vehicle charging. The startup was founded by Juan Carlos Betancourt (CEO), Boris Mijares (CIO), and Melquiade (CTO), who collectively have over 50 years of experience in B2B, software, and engineering.
The project originated from a challenge posed by Enercoop, a pioneering energy cooperative in Spain, during a hackathon. LLUM Virtual has participated in the Col·lab accelerator program and is collaborating with the Technological Institute of Energy (ITE) to conduct pilot tests and establish itself as an operator in the energy market.
